Writing Exercise: What is power?

Write a short essay about what the word power means to you. Power comes in many different forms. There is electrical power, physical power, political power, financial power and many other types of power. What do you think of when you think about power? What power do you have and how do you use it? Do you view power as positive, negative or indifferent? What experiences have you had with power?




Power
What is power? To me, power means control. Actions based on your individual needs, wants to have and not want, passion, dreams, the ability to vision and put into action! That is what power means to me.
Power is the single celled mechanism of the universe. it is the violent dance of creation and destruction.
it is creation. it is destruction. It is the unlimited potential in this ever fleeting moment, now.
and it is the odds in dice. it is the vision behind thrown bones and fortunes read in entrails. power is now

Power is broadly defined as “the capacity to bring about change.” It takes many forms, comes from many places, and is measured in many ways. Understanding all the varieties of power is essential if one is to understand who has it, who doesn’t, and how those who don’t have it can get it.
