Six Ways to Jump Start a Stalled Novel

My NaNoWriMo total is at around 9000 now. That’s a solid jump forward from yesterday. I’m still behind the medium pace, but at least I’m getting closer. I’m hoping for some more good progress tonight. For today’s quick tips I am going to give you:
Six Quick Ways to Jump Start a Stalled Novel
- Introduce a new character
- Solve a problem
- Create a new problem
- Jump forward or backward in the timeline
- Let the larger world play a role (Natural disaster, political turmoil, conflict between strangers, etc.)
- Have a character change their mind about something important
