NaNoWriMo Update — 50,000!

by John Hewitt on 11/28/2007

I’m not sure I would call it a novel yet. It seems more like a collection of random scenes, but nonetheless, I have hit my 50,000 work mark for NaNoWriMo! I officially have 50,049 words. I’ll discuss the experience more later, after I get some sleep.

So impressed! Let me be the first to congratulate you. I hope you decide to keep working with it and pull it all together. I’m looking forward to hearing more about the experience.

Wow! I’m very impressed. You worked HARD! I’m about 3,000 away and struggling – lots of late day/early evening meetings at work are draining me. (The constant drone of budget whiners has sucked creativity out of my bones.)

I agree with cerebralmum – Keep working on it!

Thank you all. It was very satisfying to finish. I had convinced myself that it would take one more session, but I just kept pushing on as I found myself getting closer to the goal. Good luck getting those 3000 Joni! I’m sure you’ll have them soon.

Yay! 50,028! I woke up at 3:15 a.m. thinking about my novel and couldn’t get back to sleep. I did it!

Thanks for all your help, John! Your blog is fantastic and keeps me going with all your exercises and challenges.

Thank you!
