im having trouble with writing my poetry and sometimes listening to a song can help!! one of my best poems (TOO LATE) was writen while i was listening to one of my most fav song (apoligize by: onerepublic)! ive just started wrting poetry and im not so good at it unless im listening to a song!! but sometime i have to be all by myself to write!! it also helps to go to some place that inspires you, i wanna go sit downtown and write poetry!! it just depends on the mood youre in. ive been writng stories for years (by the way im only 14 yrs old lol) i love too write but the best stories ive ever writen is when i have a title to start me off!! all you have to do is give my one word and i can write a really good story! i stopped writing about 1yr ago and now im into poetry!! so i hope it works out great for me, its a great way to express your feelings with out being worried when the next time youre gonna talk to a friend lol!!! if someone wants to respond to me about this hit me up on myspace.com/41314611!! lacey a.k.a. ~LOVE~

i guess learning two words or more daily from the dictionary goes a long way in overcoming the self expression trap.Also,reading works from Shakespeare especially the sonnets serves as an inspirational goldmine.

Sometimes if you can’t think of what you can write, have a friend
help you out with a story or whatever it is you are working on. Or
you could just take a break and do something fun and then come back
and work on it; a wise person once told me that. So if you get stuck
just keep on doing something else to get those brain juices to start
functioning!
