Links to the 2008 and 2007 Poetry Projects
September 9, 2009 by John Hewitt
It has been pointed out to me that this year’s 30 Poems in 30 Days project has not been as heavy on instruction as the last two years. I don’t disagree. Each year the project takes on it’s own personality. This year I have tried to be more encouraging than instructional. One reason for this is that I don’t have thirty brand new things to teach people about how to write poetry. Also, I spent so much time last year trying to put articles together, I didn’t have time to write all thirty poems. This project is as much for me as it is for my readers, and I want to complete my thirty poems. This is also why I am posting my poems along with my articles. That way, for the post to be complete, I must produce a poem.
I understand that people may prefer the previous year’s articles, so I am including them in this post. Have fun!

Thanks for posting this. As I dropped out early last year, I may at some stage come back and try the ones I missed. (If not here, at least for myself.)
