Good News Everyone! After months of anticipation, BlogWorld has invited me to speak at this year’s convention! I will be teaching a seminar titled, How to Write a How To, scheduled for 11:00 to Noon on Friday, October 15th. It’s a fun topic, and one that I recently covered as part of the Writing Success Series here at Poewar.
In case you haven’t heard of BlogWorld, it is the largest Blogging and social media event anywhere, and it has the added bonus of happening at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. This is one of my absolute favorite hotels in Las Vegas. The rooms are great. there are plenty of non-gambling things to do and it’s big enough to hold a whole bunch of bloggers.
BlogWorld is going to be three days of learning, conversations and tchochkes. Some of the biggest bloggers in the world will be there, as well as assorted real celebrities. More importantly, I’ll be there, and I KNOW you’ll want to meet ME. Here are some of the featured speakers:

Congratulations John – that is awesome. Now you’ll be like the rock star of content writers.
I haven’t been to Vegas yet but I want to go and the Mandalay Bay looks awesome. But flights are so expensive from the UK to Vegas since the pound plunged, so I don’t know if I’ll make it to Blogworld this time. Trouble is, if I go somewhere like that I have to take the whole family, or they’d never speak to me again.
“The rock star of content writers”
I am definitely putting that on my business card.
I can understand the expense of travel as a barrier. I’m lucky, Las Vegas is about a seven hour drive from my house. If it were even on the East Coast, I doubt I would have submitted a proposal. I hate to fly. I have no fear of it, they’ve just made flying into such an uncomfortable and inconvenient experience that the location has to be mandatory or spectacular for me to fly there.
Being able to drive to so many places is great. That’s one of the many reasons I would love to live in Canada or the US – more places to drive to. I’m not a big fan of flying either. I usually down two or three wines when I get on the plane, to try to knock myself out.
Congratulations. I’ll see you there. Thanks for posting about the other speakers, I’m on that list.
See you there Ben and Martin.
Yes, congrats! I have heard that this years convention will hold more visitors and more seminars than previous years. I am looking forward to it, and I’ll listen to you there! Thanks for posting! Cheers.
