Fortunately my dad taught me not to be afraid of strangers, but I did get some messages about being a nice girl and that nice girls don't ask... hence the cat modeling. Another way I remind myself it’s okay to ask is to model my cat! Seriously. Have you ever known a cat that was afraid to ask? And ask again?

Fortunately my dad taught me not to be afraid of strangers, but I did get some messages about being a nice girl and that nice girls don’t ask… hence the cat modeling.

Walking up to people I don't know at networking events is still very intimidating, and it's even more difficult to talk about myself.
