I enjoy reading Copyblogger and admit I root for the underdog (same thing in NCAA March Madness), so this contest was a exciting one to watch (read).

I hope Brian and all contenders know they’ve got great blogs no matter what happens in this tourney. Of course, this statement doesn’t apply to me. I don’t walk the talk as I’m determined to show Men with Pens that women can be powerhouses. Right, gals?

The blogger who convinced me to blog was Molly Holzschlag of Molly.com. I didn’t even know what a blog was until I read her’s. That was 2004. I’d already run WRC for ten years at that point.

I’m not biased and I’m not sexist, but I do think that women have a tougher time creating a position of authority with a large following, especially in my niche, which is business/enterpreneurship/writing. Most of the A-listers are male. Women do well, but don’t seem to have huge success. Just a thought, so please don’t come after me screaming about sexism and all

James, I’m curious as to the comments about men vs women – I don’t tend to think of myself as a female blogger, it’s just me and my blog. How do you see gender playing out in blogs?
