My mother is a message therapist and she helps keep my muscles in line…For those of you in pain, I would highly recommend going to a Message Therapist!!

Excellent advice, John! It's far too easy to abuse and/or neglect our bodies as we focus on an abundance of writing projects, with their often considerable research requirements and continuously looming deadlines. And I suspect that we writers do that far more often than we'd like to admit!

John,
I know I need to get up and move around more often, but I don't always do it ... and pay for it in the ways you mention. Thanks for this reminder.

One caveat on the chiropractor: neurologists have told me it's OK to have back adjustments, but you need to be very careful of neck manipulations. I suffered a severe stroke as a result of a chiropractic neck manipulation and learned later that chiropractors should do a "George's test" before doing certain neck manipulations. If you get dizzy during the George's test, you are susceptible to stroke from neck manipulation and should avoid adjustments. I'm not trying to scare anybody but just give folks a heads up to maybe save someone else from what I've gone through.
