Tip of the Day
Stay current in whatever field you are writing in. Know what the latest tools and trends are, even if they aren’t required for your particular job. In this age, writing occupations are in a state of constant change: the tools change, the customers change, the styles change. In some cases the entire mindset changes. Don’t let yourself fall behind in your field.

As an employee writer (rather than a full-time freelancer) your post today was especially apt. I can’t telecommute most of the time because of security issues. I would say those who want freelancers on-site are either control freaks, have sensitive materials, or they have had trouble with freelancers in the past.
